Fender Player II Precision Bass — Modern Feel, Classic P-Bass Punch

Fender Player II Precision Bass RW Polar White carries forward the unmistakable voice of the original P-Bass while adding contemporary playability for today's working musicians. A contoured alder body anchors the sound with balanced resonance, while the Player Series Alnico V split-coil pickup delivers the focused fundamentals, musical midrange and seismic lows that have made the instrument a studio and stage staple. Built in Mexico, this model is the right choice for players who want authentic Fender tone without stepping into American-made territory.

What Sets the Player II Precision Bass Apart

Hand-rolled fingerboard edges are a touch usually reserved for higher-tier instruments, giving the rosewood surface a broken-in feel from the first session. The Player Series Alnico V split-coil pickup is voiced specifically for the P-Bass role, delivering hum-canceling performance and a punch that sits confidently in any mix. Satin urethane on the back of the neck keeps hand movement fluid, while the gloss urethane headstock face preserves the classic Fender look.

Alder Body Construction — The Foundation of Fender Tone

Alder's balanced tonal character has anchored Fender bass design since the early 1950s, and this instrument leans into that heritage with a contoured solid body finished in gloss polyester. The Polar White colorway is paired with a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard for a clean, stage-ready look.

• Body Material: Alder offers a balanced response with strong fundamentals.
• Body Finish: Gloss Polyester — durable, classic Fender sheen
• Body Shape: Precision Bass — the iconic slab-sided silhouette

Modern "C" Neck — Built for Fast, Fluid Playability

The maple neck is carved to a Modern "C" profile that strikes a balance between substance and speed, equally comfortable for chord work, slap technique, or thumb-position grooves. A 9.5" fingerboard radius with rolled edges supports easy bending and smooth position shifts, while 20 medium-jumbo frets give players room to explore the full 864 mm scale length.

• Neck material is Maple for a bright attack and clean note definition.
• Fingerboard Material: Slab Rosewood — warm, smooth tactile response
• Fingerboard Radius: 241 mm — modern feel with vintage-style comfort
• Scale Length: 864 mm — tight string response and solid low-end

Player Series Pickups and Hardware — Stage-Ready Reliability

The passive electronics keep the signal path simple and predictable, with a master volume and master tone layout that lets the Alnico V split-coil pickup do the talking. A 4-saddle bridge with single-groove steel "barrel" saddles supports precise intonation, while standard open-gear tuning machines deliver stable tuning across rehearsals, recording sessions and live performances.

• Pickup configuration features a Split Single-Coil (S) for that classic P-Bass voice.
• Pickup: Player Series Alnico V Split-Coil — punchy lows, articulate mids
• Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone — straightforward, intuitive shaping
• Bridge: 4-Saddle Standard with Steel Saddles — reliable intonation

The Fender Precision Bass Legacy

Introduced in 1951, the Precision Bass was the world's first successful electric bass guitar and defined what a modern bass could sound and feel like. The Player II series represents Fender's commitment to making that legacy accessible, with contemporary refinements like rolled fingerboard edges and archival finishes that complement the classic P-Bass formula.
