The SubMassive plugin is a sub-harmonic generator that creates low-frequency content an octave below the source material. Built around the idea that you can't EQ what isn't there, it uses a pitch-shift algorithm optimized for bass frequencies. The synthesized low-end is harmonically related to the source and tightly coupled in timing, so it sits naturally in the mix rather than sounding artificial.
